PenMount 6000 touch controller series is
launched in the second half of 2006.the
series comprise of PM 6000 controller chip,
PM 6300 USB control board and PM 6500 & PM
6200C USB and RS-232 COMBO control board.
The mechanical dimensions, length \ width \
height and the mounting holes of the PM 6300
and PM 6500 control board are identical to
that of PM 9036BH control board in the
PenMount 9000 series and PM 5126BH control
board in the PenMount 5000 series and uses
the same type of touch cable for both RS232
and USB interface. However PM 6200C COMBO
control board mechanical size is identical
to 3M EX II 7000 and the SC series control
board. The positions of the mounting holes
are similar between the PenMount 6200C COMBO
and 3M SC or EX II 7000 series design. If
you previously used the 3M EX II 7000 and
the SC series, you can substitute it with
the PM 6200C COMBO controller board.
The PenMount 6000 resistance type touch
screen controller chip uses QFN-28 (volume
is 5 x 5 x 0.9mm) packing. The volume is
small and the IC contains 10-bits ADC and
Oscillator and provides both USB and UART
interfaces. These features can effectively
reduce overall hardware costs in the circuit
design area. The Firmware design on the
PenMount 6000 can achieve a transmission
sample rate of 160~200pps to the computer
system. This fast transmission rate can
produce a real likeness of handwriting input
on the computer system. It is highly
recommended to use PenMount 6000 controller
for WebPad 、 POS 、 Kiosk 、 Panel PC
products, it is also suitable for writing
input application devices like the Tablet
PC, UMPC or MID and others.
In the areas of software support, PenMount
Windows Universal Driver can work in
Microsoft Windows 2000/ XP/
XP Embedded/ 2003/ Vista with PenMount 6000
USB or RS-232. Moreover, the PenMount driver
also supports WinCE 4.2/ 5.0/ 6.0, Linux
Kernel 2.6. The RS-232 driver also supports
the DOS system. The Utilities feature in
the PenMount Windows Universal Driver is
also fully equipped with features such as
Advance Calibration; mouse right key
simulation, beep sounds function;
Multi-Monitor; Screen Rotation; Drag or
click modes; calibration data storage and
many more.
PenMount 6000 USB controller supports
Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC/ Vista for
pen input device. The pen input driver is
compatible with the Microsoft handwriting
input software program, which consists of
Handwriting recognition, Journal, Sticky
Note, Pen Flicks.
