As the PenMount Touch Solutions is going to
march toward the 19th year, the PenMount
team is expecting the functions of our
product can get better and promoted
constantly, we pursue and provide the
products that meet the demands of the
clients and the market. The PenMount Touch
Solutions product lines includes touch
screen control IC and control boards, with
varieties of device drivers and utilities,
which allows our clients to be able to
develop their own products with outstanding
features.
In this bulletin we are going to introduce
you the PenMount 6202B combo interface
control board. It is developed based on the
PenMount 6000 control IC, and supports both
RS-232 and USB interfaces. Like other PM6000
series control boards: PM6300, PM6500,
PM6200, the PenMount 6202B supports most
resistive touch screens. The major
difference is that the PM6202B control board
is specially designed for 4 and 5 wires
touch screens, and it also reserves spaces
for 4 wires and 5 wires connectors. Clients
can choose between Wafer connector and ZIF
connector, which can be connected directly
to touch screens, and therefore no extra
cable is needed. This means that they should
choose both the types of touch screens and
the connectors. On the other hand, when
using the PM6200, PM6300 or PM6500 control
boards, the connectors is always the same,
no matter which type of 4-, 5- or 8 wires
resistive touch screen is used.
The PM6202B control board reserves space for
2.54 mm pitch Wafer connectors. The pins'
order is designed to fit most touch screen
manufacturers' 4 and 5 wires touch screens.
Besides this, the PM6202B control board also
reserve space for ZIF connectors with 1.0
pitch. For the convenience of connecting
tails of touch screens, the upper and lower
sides of connection point are conducted, and
the pins' order also follows the standard of
4 and 5 wire resistive touch screens.

control board hardware is listed below :

Clients can choose 4 or 5 pin connectors
with 2.54mm pitch berg or AMP compatible
ones, or they can choose 4 pin ZIF
connectors with 1.0mm pitch.

ESD: air discharge is up to15KV, and
contact discharge is up to 8KV.

Support most 4 or 5 wires resistive
touch screens of the market. The lead to
lead ESD of touch screen is set between
30~1.3K Ohm.

Provide complete device drivers,
utilities and gesture program.
