PenMount touch controller has been offering
the complete Linux supports for years.
Recently, many widely used Linux
distributions have released their newest
issues that match Linux kernel 2.6.31 and X
Window system 7.5, such as Ubuntu 9.10,
Fedora 12, openSUSE 11.2, Slackware 13,
Mandriva 2010 etc. PenMount software
development group has also successfully
developed the supports of Ubuntu 9.10,
Fedora 12 and openSUSE 11.2 on time. In this
issue PenMount bulletin, we will introduce
to you the variety of the new features of
PenMount's new drive program edition V3.0.0.
The latest PenMount driver V3.0.0 edition
not only supports the Linux kernel and X
Window systems, but it is also added with
the complete graphical user interface, which
provides the users with the immediate
modification to all functions of PenMount
driver program. If you are using the GNOME
desktop environment, the installation of
PenMount V3.0.0 Linux driver will make the
following functions available for you :

Calibration: Provides calibration of 4,
9, 16, 25 points.

Touch Mode Settings: In order to meet
the requirements in various touch
controlling conditions, edition 3.0.0
provides 4 operation modes: 'Mouse
Emulation', 'Pen Input Emulation',
'Click On Release', and 'Click On
touch'.

Beep Feedback Setting: PenMount driver
offers the function of beep feedback
from the system buzzer. If you have the
needs, the feedback modes of “Beep on
pen down”, “Beep on pen up”, “Beep on
both”, “Beep disable” are at your
command.

Touch Test Program: This driver edition
provides you with a touch control
diagram test program that is much
stronger. You can choose a variety of
colors and line width, and you may also
use it to observe the mouse event and
the position when operating.

Touch Controller Smooth Setting: If the
noise of your system is so loud as to
affect the stability of the touch
controller, you can choose the line
smooth function that the PenMount touch
controller provides. You can set
different parameter values you desire.
The bigger the number is, the smoother
the line will be, but on the contrary
the cursor movement will be slower.
