The PenMount team has rich experience in providing touch solutions over the years, and we are still growing and will continue to grow with support from our customers. Our goal is to provide the best products with various operating systems support, and we keep our focus on product functionality and innovative technology to create the best touch solution for the most convenient operation to meet more customers expectations and marketing requests. We always respect the needs and ideas of our customers and do the best to provide the most professional and efficient service and solution for them.

In past issues of the Bulletin, we had talked about PenMount Controllers support for various type of resistive technology introduced that the PenMount controllers are able to support and fulfill most of the functionalities requested. If you have specific requirements, please let us know, we would be happy to provide you full assistance and support.

From time to time we receive requests for PenMount USB controller to control extra physical buttons besides the touch panel. An example of which is to have the PenMount USB controller functions as a multimedia keyboard controller which allows additional fast key features such as switch to mute mode, increase or decrease volume,  play or stop video,  go back to homepage or run E-mail program. All these keys are almost always used in our interaction with the computer system. For example, an incoming phone call while listening to music, all you will need to do is to push the mute button to turn off the sound or adjust the volume by its volume button; in such instance, all these buttons can be connected to PenMount controller directly and communicate with PC via USB interface.

For the USB button case, we welcome further discussion with you in details for your requirements; we can develop unique controller firmware for different cases. In most cases, the system can recognize the HID key inputs sent by the PenMount controller. However, if you choose special keys other than the keys found on the keyboard, you may need to modify your system to make sure that it can receive these inputs. In some cases such as pushing buttons to run E-Mail, Internet Explorer or other programs, you will also need to develop applications for this purpose.
