 The
annual computer show, COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2009,
is being held this year from June 2 to June
6; and Salt International Corp. will have a
booth at the show and will officially
announce the newest product, the PenMount
Multi-Finger touch solution. The PenMount
resistive multi-point touch solution
provides this feature from the resistive
touch technology and this solution kit
includes PenMount M1 controller IC, PM6250
control board, and touch screen.
Some Windows 7 utilities have multi-touch
function, such as IE explorer, Windows
Explorer, Picture Viewer, Painter, and so
on. This multi-touch is Windows 7 built-in
feature, and PenMount has also made this
function available to use in Windows XP and
Vista. Some major applications for the
PenMount Multi-Finger touch solution are for
“Safety” and “Confirmation”. PenMount
provides special software development kits,
Application Program Interface (API) for user
to develop its own application under Vista
or XP. These can help fulfill the
requirements for most applications, such as
Home Automation, Factory Automation, Process
Controls, and so on.
