PenMount driver support “Flick” function on
Windows Tablet PC feature. It makes ordinary
resistive touch screen becomes more
convenient and fruitful the touch
applications. PenMount plans “Gesture” will
be worked with all resistive touch screen
and operating system without Windows Tablet
PC’s feature in the future.
All the way we know in before, resistive
touch screen only allows single touch input.
PenMount team keep study and learn from
market and feedback, know it is not all the
applications need to be worked by two or
more points in the same time but will be
appreciated to provide gesture, just likes
the modern SmartPhone or PDA, with the
capability to zoom or roll the image. YES!
There are a lot of advantaged mythologies
make two or more points touch in the time
become real, of course, PenMount works with
Apex Material Technology Corp. also
accomplished the feature by resistive touch
panel which is no one done it before till
now. Although we have made multi-finger
touch true, PenMount team still hear the
need and fulfill the demand of what we call
“PenMount Gesture” for all those have
already had resistive touch solution
clients.
PenMount Gesture supports PenMount 9000 and
PenMount 6000 series controllers for both
RS-232 and USB interface under Microsoft
Windows XP and Vista operating systems.
There is no need for any hardware change
only driver updates to reach and gain the
feature in painless way. PenMount team makes
the feature as flexible and easy to be
defined and let more functions can be worked
by the gestures.
At the moment, PenMount Gesture provides 15
kinds of writing gestures. All of the
function can be defined by the user
interface. The gesture functions can work as
hotkeys function, open the application
program or develop the own function accords
with PenMount Gesture API. PenMount Gesture
feature will be provided by PenMount Windows
Universal Driver in near future. The
schedule for the driver plans to be
announced and released in the end of April.
